Waterloo Region has four different seasons every year. The climate here is moderate, although temperatures have fallen to -31°C in the winter, and exceeded 30°C in the summer.

Geography

Waterloo Region is located in Southern Ontario, and is roughly surrounded by three of the Great Lakes: Lake Ontario, Lake Erie and Lake Huron. It is roughly 300-500 metres above sea level.

Natural features include the Grand River.
